October Beauty Box – First Impressions & Reviews

It’s time for me to give you my first impressions and reviews of the 6 products that I recently reviewed in my October Lookfantastic Beauty Box*. I have been using the products below for well over a week now and it is important to say that I have been using them daily in order to get the most out of them. This post is not an advert or sponsored post for that matter, all opinions are my own and are 100% genuine. All products are listed at the very bottom of this post, affiliate links are marked with a * as always. Let me know your thoughts in the comments box below.

  • PRAI – Ageless Throat & Décolletage Crème

Yes, I might only be 24, but a girl needs all the help she can get with firming skin. I love this product, it feels great on the skin. This product has been designed to reduce deep lines to achieve a firmer appearance. I can’t say if I noticed the difference as I do not yet have deep lines, but I loved the feel of the product and knowing that it is helping to firm up that area. This product gets great reviews, so I have every inch of faith that it does work on more mature skin.

  • TALIKA – Bubble Mask, Bio Detox

I love a bubble mask, I love the feeling of my pores having a good old clean, and this is exactly what it felt like when using this mask. As soon as you put the mask on, it starts foaming pretty much straight away, and after 10-15 minutes it’s completely foamed. After I removed the product my skin felt tighter, my pores looked less visible and my skin, in general, felt really cleansed. Considering this mask alone retails at £7.99, and my beauty box subscription is £13 a month it just shows the quality of products inside the boxes. This is not an advert at all or a sponsored post, just showing my love!

  • PIXI by Petra – Blush

I was excited to try this blush from PIXI as I had never used any PIXI makeup products, only skincare. This product is extremely pigmented, honestly, you only need to slightly touch the blush with a brush to gather enough product for BOTH cheeks. The shade I received was great, a warm dark peach with pink hints – I feel this shade would be beautiful in the summer as it would really compliment a tan. However, for all the pale girls out there like me now, it worked well on a fairer complexion. Now I’ve tried this blush from PIXI I would be more willing to try some of their other makeup products.

  • MONU – Line Smoothing Night Renewal Complex

I’ve been using this product every night once I have cleansed and toned. Again, this is a ‘firming’ product, but as I do have a few small lines on my face I want to do all I can to help reduce them and most importantly prevent getting any more (a girl can wish ok). I had never heard of this brand before, so I was unsure what I would think to the product. Now, this product is marketed for combination skin, so perfect for my oily complexion. This product has not irritated my skin, it’s extremely gentle and refreshing. I can honestly say that the fine lines that I suffer with around my eyes have reduced and the area in general looks a bit more plumped so to say. I can only say good words about this product and I would recommend to anyone who like me, is starting to discover those pesky lines on their face.

  • DR LIPP – Lip Tint

This product has not left my sight since receiving it at the beginning of the month. It is a great product to help mend and soothe dry lips, and its lovely as an everyday lip balm. The one I received in my beauty box is slightly tinted (burgundy) which adds a subtle, natural colour. I love how this product is 100% natural, with no fragrance and even better – not tested on animals. At 8ml it is the perfect pocket size lip tint. I would 100% repurchase once I have finished this one.

  • AHAVA – Dead Sea Water, Mineral Body Lotion

Fast absorbing moisturiser, soaks beautifully into the skin without leaving a greasy residue behind. I found this moisturiser to be really hydrating and noticed a difference on my dryer areas (elbows, knees and ankles) pretty much straight away after the first couple of applications. Refreshing on the skin, great for sensitive skin as it has soothing Aloe Vera properties, this would also be great for taking on holiday to sooth tanned skin. Also great for everyday use.

I have the Pixi by Petra brow gel and I swear by it. Had it over half a year now and it’s still got at least a quarter of the product left. Definitely worth trying x

I’ve never tried a beauty box but they always seem like such a good idea so you can try a range of new products! I’ve just picked up the Pixi Glow Tonic to test but I didn’t know they did makeup too!

I really love the sound of the lip tint, sounds exactly like something I’d use regularly – plus I love burgundy!
Great post! 🧡
