As we head closer to the big day it is important to take some time to chill and rewind and treat ourselves to a cosy night in. For those that are super organised and have everything under control then well done, you’ve reached a milestone. This wrapping malarky isn’t easy you know.
I like to have cosy nights in when I’m feeling a bit stressed out, or if I feel my skin and my hair need some extra TLC. It is important to take time out and reflect, I use this time to clear my thoughts and focus on my goals. I find it useful to jot down my ambitions and have a few moments to myself to come up with new strategies on how I am going to try and accomplish them.
So first up on my agenda for my cosy night in is the Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven Dead Sea Mud Pac Mask. I love these masks because they are super affordable (usually on offer for £1), and I find that they really do work well on my skin. I love how this mask leaves my skin feeling revived and fresh, it really does feel as though I’ve visited a spa.
Next I have the Champneys Citrus Blush Enlivening Daily Scrub. Once I’ve removed the face mask I usually jump in the shower or bath and use this heavenly goodness. If you haven’t visited boots and smelt this range from Champneys then you are missing out. The smell of this range is so lovely, it’s like happiness in a bottle for me and I can’t get enough. This daily scrub is very fine and not abrasive at all, as mentioned in the name this product can be used daily if desired.
Once I’m dry I will apply the Champneys Citrus Blush Enlivening Body Lotion. Again, I can’t get enough of the scent of this product. This body lotion makes my skin feel soft and extremely moisturised, it soaks into the skin beautifully and does not leave a greasy feel behind. This product will honestly make you feel as though you have been to a spa also, the scent alone is a big enough reason why you should try it!!
When I’m in the shower or bath I will wet the ends of my hair, ready for the next treatment. My wonderful hairdresser told me about this saviour of a product that has helped my ends and strengthened my hair. The product is called Olaplex No3 Hair Perfecter. So this product is not like other ‘treatments’, in the sense that it will not make your hair soft and silky. The aim of this product is to help build and mend your hair, to prevent breakages and maintain strength. This product is great for chemically treated hair, or for people who struggle with brittle ends. I tend to damp the ends of my hair with water, and then apply this product just to the ends of my hair and leave on overnight. You don’t have to leave this product in overnight if you don’t wish to, you could opt for a few hours.
So now you know how I treat myself to a luxury cosy night in. The products featured give me the feeling of being pampered in a spa, and they fully relax me. Which right now is all I need. What are your go-to products or routines for having a night in? I’d love to know.
