Christmas music is my favourite. I love the variety of songs there are to listen to, from the ones that get you up dancing, to the ones that can send you to sleep. In this Blogmas post I will be listing my favourite Christmas tunes and letting you know the reason why they feature on my Christmas playlist.
1) Fairytale of New York – The Pogues (feat. Kirsty MacColl)
Oh my word, this has got to be one of the greatest. I love this song. Not only is it a classic banger, but I love the humour within it. It’s a great song for having on when wrapping your presents or writing your cards, it’s guaranteed to get you in the spirit.
2) Last Christmas – Wham
An all time classic. I love the words in this song, I know all of them and I do sing along to this at every opportunity. This is a great song to have on when your entertaining guests or having Christmas drinks as everyone knows the lyrics so perfect for a sing-a-long!!
3) Step Into Christmas – Elton John
This is a great tune for listening to when in the car. It makes me feel happy, it gets me moving my shoulders and tapping my feet. Elton John is such a classic too, love his music.
4) It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas – Michael Bublé
Because it’s Michael Bublé. That is all.
5) Merry Christmas Everyone – Shakin’ Stevens
This is the song I love listening to when putting up the Christmas tree and decorations. It is one of those songs that can get me on my feet dancing, and that is such a great feeling right? Another one that I know all of the words to!!
